Housing Programs for Low-Income Families

The City of Richland and the Tri-Cities HOME Consortium offer several programs to support residents with housing needs. These include assistance for homeowners through the Home Rehabilitation Program, help for homebuyers through the Down Payment Assistance Program, and resources for renters seeking financial or housing support.

The Homeownership Assistance Program provides up to $50,000 in down payment assistance for low- to moderate-income, homebuyers.

The Tri-Cities HOME Consortium has received funding through the HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP). This funding has been allocated to provide supportive services for the following four qualifying populations:

  • Individuals and families experiencing homelessness

  • Those at risk of becoming homeless

  • Individuals or families fleeing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking

  • Other qualifying populations as defined by HUD
