Councilmember

Kurt H. Maier was elected to the Richland City Council in January 2024 and again in 2026. Kurt, a distinguished High Performance Computing Engineer with Oak Ridge National Laboratory's scalable systems group is a specialist in systems architecture, deployment, and operations. Outside of work, he actively contributes to the development and management of open-source software projects.

Kurt is a married father of two, who are both in the Richland School District. In addition to his familial and professional roles, Kurt enjoys hobbies such as reading, camping, and exploring the great outdoors on a bicycle or  motorcycle. Kurt has lived in various parts of America and is a proud veteran of the United States Army.
