The Planning Commission serves as an advisory body to the City Council in order to:
- Promote orderly physical development and social development of the City
- Review and make recommendations on Comprehensive Plan updates
- Recommend amendments, extensions, or additions to City development regulations or plans in the interest of health, safety, morals, and general welfare
- Review federal requirements for the administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs and make recommendations on program procedures and project funding
Meetings
The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 625 Swift Blvd.
Workshops
The Planning Commission holds workshop meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 625 Swift Blvd.
