The Personnel Committee monitors the administration and grading of competitive examinations and hears appeals by employees according to Richland Municipal Code 2.28.130 including:
- Hearing appeals on disciplinary action resulting in suspension, demotion, reduction in pay or termination
- Hearing appeals on alleged violations of the established personnel plan related specifically to hiring or promotional opportunities
- Reviewing challenges to the reasonableness of the appointing authority's actions related to a reduction in force
Meetings
The Personnel Committee meets as needed in Richland City Hall, 625 Swift Boulevard.
