As an advisory body to the City Council, the Parks and Recreation Commission provides recommendations on recreation programs, environmental and cultural preservation, and civic beautification in order to enhance the community's quality of life, and ensure the best use of City facilities.
Meetings
The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 625 Swift Blvd.
Workshops
The Parks and Recreation Commission holds regular workshops on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive.
