Concealed Pistol Licenses

The Richland Police Department (RPD) receives, and processes concealed pistol licenses (CPL) for City of Richland residents. Please review the information below to ensure you're prepared before applying.


How to Apply

  1. Download the Concealed Pistol License Application
  2. Complete and print the application
  3. Visit the Richland Police Department to submit your application and payment in-person, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Fees

The fees for licensing are as follows:

Original License $48.00 $36 plus FBI Imposed background check fees.
Renewal License $32.00 Within 90 days before the expiration date of the current license.
Late Renewal License $42.00 Within 90 days after the expiration date of the current license.
Replacement License $10.00

Additional fees may apply for related services, including background checks and fingerprinting. All fees are non-refundable.

Payment can be made in-person at the police department by check, money order or credit/debit card. Checks and money orders can be made payable to City of Richland. Cash payments will not be accepted.


Renewing a Concealed Pistol License as a Member of the Armed Forces

If you are a member of the armed forces and wish to renew your concealed pistol license, you must provide the following to the Richland Police Department:

  • A copy of your orders designating the specific period of assignment, reassignment, or deployment for out of state military service
  • Completed Members of the Armed Forces Renewal Application
  • Payment of the appropriate renewal licensing fee (see Fees above)
