Information Technology 

The Information Technology (IT) Department is dedicated to advancing the City of Richland through secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions. Our mission is to support city operations, employees, residents, and businesses by providing modern, efficient, and dependable technology services that enhance the delivery of public services. 

Our core responsibilities include: 

• User Support: Assisting city staff with computers, software, communications systems, and other technology-related needs to promote efficient and effective operations across all departments.  
• Network Infrastructure and Cybersecurity: Designing, maintaining, and protecting the City’s technology infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity, safeguard sensitive information, and strengthen cybersecurity resilience. 
• Software Systems and Innovation: Implementing, managing, and improving software applications and digital tools that support city services, operational efficiency, and long-term organizational goals.
