Power Outage Central

When the occasional outage occurs, we're here to help you be prepared, stay informed, and stay safe while our crews are working around the clock to restore power.

Richland Energy Services provides high quality, reliable electric service; however, sometimes power outages do occur within our system. The most common reasons for electrical outages are: windstorms, squirrels, or vehicle accidents involving electrical infrastructure. Your report of an outage helps us restore power safely and efficiently.

Report and View Power Outages

1. To report a power outage and receive text message updates about the outage and restoration efforts, call 509-943-4428 and follow the prompts. Be sure to allow text message updates when prompted.

2. You can also report an outage by completing our Power Outage Form. Please note that text message updates are not available when reporting an outage through the online form. You must enter your address or select a location on the map to submit your report.

To avoid duplicate reports, please use either the outage phone number or the online form, not both.

View reported outage locations using our interactive GIS map below. Please allow a few moments for the map to fully load. To see all reported outages, you may need to zoom in on the map for a more detailed view.

For immediate safety concerns, please call the non-emergency line at 509-628-0333.

NOTE:   The numbers displaying in the circles in the map above are indicating the number of reports we have had of an outage in that general location. We do not have the street names listed on the map for privacy and safety purposes. If you see that outages have already been reported in the general area of your business or residence, you can assume that we are aware of the outage and will be reporting updates on the top banner of our website or on our social media listed below.
