Privately owned, located on private property
Contact:
Veterinarian or local pet-cremation service
(e.g., Mueller’s Funeral Home).
  Not in Roadway, Not Causing a Traffic Hazard:
Under RMC 12.16: property owners are responsible for maintaining the planting strip, sidewalk,
and adjacent areas of the public right-of-way. This responsibility includes removing debris,
vegetation, hazards, and deceased wildlife located outside the roadway.

- unknown | unreachable | unable to remove the animal | prefers professional assistance

  • Private wildlife-removal companies may be contacted.
  • These services are privately contracted and fee based.
     
   

Private Wildlife or Pest Removal Services:
Licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators can remove dead wildlife from: 

  • Planting Strips
  • Sidewalk edges or mow strips
  • Landscaped right-of-way areas
  • Commercial property frontage
  • Private property
    (e.g., backyards, side yards, under decks or porches, near dumpsters or buildings)
